Lunch Seminar-February 24, 2011

NEW: Credentialing Maintenance (CMP) Credits Available

SPEAKER:  David Hippensteel, a lifetime resident of Indiana, has been in business as a mechanical contractor for more than thirty years; he is currently co-owner of Riverbridge Electric, a company that specializes in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. He installed his first solar system in the late 1970s and began technical training for installation of solar and wind systems in the early 90s.  Since then, he has been installing small wind, solar thermal, and solar electric systems. David is the only person in the state of Indiana who is certified in both photovoltaic and solar thermal installation by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

SPEAKER:  Gary Washington MD,DC has been in the solar thermal business for the past four years.  He works for Solar Usage Now, a division of Our Country Home, a manufacturing and assemble company.  Dr. Washington is NABCEP and LEED-AP eligible.  He teaches solar thermal basics to contractors, plumbers and HVAC installers.  He has been a guest lecturer at the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers and Ivy Tech. Last month he gave a solar thermal presentation to the Indiana Solar Working Group.  He is a founding member of the Indiana Renewable Energy Association and served on the board of directors with David Hippensteel  Dr. Washington also works as a Complimentary and Alternative health care physician.  He holds degrees' in Medicine and Chiropractic.
